Recommended Jeep® Service Intervals

Protecting your vehicle's value, performance, and reliability starts with proper maintenance. Below, you'll find a range of recommended service intervals for Jeep vehicles. Please note that these intervals may change based on the vehicle you drive or your operating conditions, and that your Owner's Manual is the best place to find information regarding your specific model.

8,000 Miles / 6 Months

  • Within a few months after driving home in your new truck or SUV, you'll need to bring your Jeep vehicle in for its first service. At this initial service, we'll replace the engine oil and filter, and conduct a tire rotation to promote even treadwear. In addition, we'll ensure everything is operating correctly and that nothing looks out of the ordinary.

16,000 Miles / 12 Months

  • After your first 16,000 miles or 12 months of ownership, we'll do another oil change service and tire rotation and inspect air filters to see if they need replacement. Since many drivers take their Jeep vehicle off-road or drive through inclement weather, we'll inspect the brakes, exhaust, and front suspension to ensure everything is working correctly.

24,000 Miles / 18 Months

  • At this interval, we'll do an oil change and tire rotation, as well as an inspection of the CV joints and exhaust system.

32,000 Miles / 24 Months

  • After 32,000 miles or 24 months of driving, we'll prepare to change the oil and rotate the tires. In addition, we'll replace the engine and cabin air filters, replace spark plugs, and inspect spark plug wiring, front suspension components, boot seals, tie rod ends, and brake linking to ensure your vehicle is safe to drive. We'll also adjust the parking brake on Jeep vehicles equipped with four-wheel disc brakes.

40,000 Miles / 30 Months

  • Here we'll do another quick inspection, oil change, and tire rotation.

48,000 Miles / 36 Months

  • At 48,000 miles or 36 months, we'll do an oil change and tire rotation. We'll also replace the air filters if needed and inspect the brakes, exhaust, front suspension, and CV joints to ensure everything is operating correctly.
  • If you have a manual transmission and operate in certain conditions, we recommend having the transmission fluid replaced at this time. Drivers who tow, haul, travel off-road, operate in hot weather, or use their vehicle as part of a fleet, such as police and delivery, fall into this category.

56,000 Miles / 42 Months

  • Oil change and tire rotation.

64,000 Miles / 48 Months

  • Around 64,000 miles or 48 months, we'll replace the spark plugs and inspect the brakes, spark plug wiring, front suspension components, and air filters to see if anything needs replacement.
  • We'll also adjust the parking brake on vehicles with four-wheel disc brakes, and replace the Rear Drive Assembly (RDA) fluid and Power Transfer Unit (PTU) fluid.
  • If you use your vehicle for towing, off-roading, operating in hot weather, or as part of a fleet, we recommend replacing the automatic transmission fluid and filter.

72,000 Miles / 54 Months

  • Oil change and tire rotation.
  • Inspection of the CV joints and exhaust system.

80,000 Miles / 60 Months

  • At 80,000 miles or 60 months, we'll do an oil change and tire rotation and replace the air filters if needed.
  • We'll also inspect the brakes and front suspension for abnormal wear and replace the engine coolant fluid to ensure your vehicle stays cool and protected.

88,000 Miles / 66 Months

  • Oil change and tire rotation.

96,000 Miles / 72 Months

  • At 96,000 miles or 72 months, we'll conduct an oil change, tire rotation, and spark plug replacement. In addition, we'll replace the engine and cabin air filters if necessary. Our technicians will take the time to further inspect your vehicle by looking at the spark plug wiring, brakes, exhaust, front suspension, CV joints, and Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve to ensure all components are operating at factory standards.
  • If you tow, haul, travel off-road, drive through hot weather, or use your vehicle as part of a fleet, we recommend changing the manual transmission fluid at this interval.
